An oriental tale in LARP form, full of martial combat... and True Love.

Details

Six wandering wuxia warriors, each determined to be the greatest fighter in the world.

Seven nameless, terrifying citadel guards.

One blind zither player. One mysterious host. One imprisoned demon prince.

One epic tournament of martial skill.

No mercy.

But the important thing, of course, is True Love...

"The Song and the Sunrise" is the latest in the fan-favorite Speed-Dating Engine LARP series. Thirteen player-character slots are available. Come play...or you'll never know just how many people you can kick in the head over the course of a single night.

Special Requirements

If we fill up, latecomers will be turned away; if it doesn't look like we're going to have enough, we will cancel the event. If we're *almost* full, we'll accept last-minute signups, but it's much much better for people to be matched up carefully with characters. Therefore, for multiple reasons, it's a good idea to sign up in advance. Please do. When you sign up, please do indicate whether you want to be a Warrior (female role) or a Sword of the Citadel (male role). (We have no trouble accomodating female Swords; male Warriors are slightly more difficult, but can be managed.)Also: dressing up isn't actually a requirement, but every person who does adds quite a lot of beauty and flavor to the game (and when everyone does, the effect is absolutely amazing). So come looking as much like an ancient Chinese martial artist as you can.

Availability

Sign-up is encouraged to guarantee a spot, but walk-ins will be accepted if spaces remain.

Sign up online only before Monday, January 21, 2008. After that date, sign up for events at the convention itself, where sign-up sheets will be provided.
